The Folk Undertaker: I Became Famous Through Underworld Livestreams

Mystery, horror, folk terror, livestream, System, ensemble cast

Synopsis:

Chen Ye is forced to inherit his grandfather's corpse-collection shop. The very first body he handles nearly costs him his life: a woman in red disappears in the middle of the night, a bronze bell rings, and every living person in the village becomes a sacrificial offering buried alongside the dead.

After binding to the Yin Virtue System, he livestreams corpse collection and helps restless spirits pass on, but his life grows more and more otherworldly:

His viewers' tips come from nonhumans, the incense ash used to suppress vengeful ghosts is mixed with bone powder, and even the pretty policewoman who follows his updates has a blood-red thread from a ghost infant wrapped around her...

As his popularity explodes, Chen Ye discovers that the top tippers on the leaderboard are all ancient immortals from the Yin Burial Sect. They're spending money just to watch him gradually uncover the truth:

“Your grandfather traded your life for thirty years of longevity. Every spirit you've helped pass on is a sacrifice to an evil god.”

In front of the livestream camera, Chen Ye lights soul-calming incense and smiles as he forms a hand seal:

“Folks, today we're not collecting corpses. We're collecting lives.”

The chat erupts:

“Streamer, run! The bride in red behind you has opened her eyes!”

“What she's holding... is your head!”
