Ne Zha Saves His Mother: The Boundary Beast God Lends a Hand

Taiyi Zhenren steals the Underworld's Soul-Luring Lamp, hoping to summon Lady Yin's spirit back. But he's drunk and his hand slips, accidentally stuffing her soul into the barrier beast A Chou.

The usually dimwitted barrier beast suddenly speaks in Lady Yin's gentle voice: “Zha'er, don't fight!” (The next second, it switches back to cursing in a Sichuan accent: “You little bastard, give your mother back her embroidery needle!”)

The Heavenly Origin Cauldron shatters. The Heavenly Venerable of the Primordial Beginning issues a decree admitting fault, exposing the boundless crimes of the Jade Void Palace's Immortal Elder Wuliang: secretly refining wicked pills to manipulate the Dragon Kings of the Three Seas (Ao Run, Ao Shun, and Ao Qin), leading to the massacre at Chentang Pass.

Punishments

Immortal Elder Wuliang has his immortal bones stripped away and is cast into the Guixu to suffer the eternal erosion of his soul.

Ao Guang, Dragon King of the Eastern Sea, is punished for failing to discipline his subjects and sentenced to guard an undersea volcano. Ao Bing succeeds him as the new Dragon King but is imprisoned in the Dragon Palace for life.

The Dragon Kings of the Three Seas are flayed and have their tendons torn out, then chained in the Frozen Abyss to howl and atone for their sins.

The Heavenly Venerable's bargain

The Heavenly Venerable of the Primordial Beginning promises to resurrect Lady Yin, on the condition that Nezha serves as a general in Heaven. Nezha sneers: “A god's official hat can't keep this young master from being free”
