All the Emperors Transmigrate to the Modern World

A mash-up dynasty triggered by a cosmic bug: While scrolling through short videos in the Celestial Court, the Jade Emperor accidentally sets the ancient divine beast Hundun on a rampage, tearing open the space-time rift. Qin Shi Huang, Liu Bang, Li Shimin, Zhu Yuanzhang, Qianlong, and Zhao Kuangyin are all transmigrated into a modern world where eras and cultures collide.

These emperors bring Qin laws, Han Confucianism, Tang civil service examinations, and Ming eight-legged essays with them, muddling their systems and cultures together like ingredients in a hotpot as they go about their business.

The heavenly punishment crisis: As the dynastic fortunes fall into chaos, the Five Elements clash instead of complementing each other. The Great Wall collapses like a line of dominoes, Yellow River carp swarm ashore and dance in public squares, and imperial exam papers automatically generate “I am the world” as the standard answer. Amid the chaos of modern life, the emperors are forced to work together, though each has his own agenda:

Ying Zheng wants to standardize weights and measures, and won't even let toilet dimensions escape his notice. Scanning a shared bicycle's QR code only brings up the message: “No credit score.”

Emperor Wu of Han livestreams a hotpot cauldron modeled after the Nine Tripods and gets reported for false advertising. Emperor Taizong of Tang joins an idol competition and gets challenged by square-dancing grannies. Wu Zetian forms an all-female esports team and thrashes male gamers. Yuan Shundi's yurt homestay gets customer complaints for having no Wi-Fi. Ming Wuzong converts his Leopard House into an escape room and scares a group of elementary schoolchildren to tears.
