In people’s eyes, I probably count as a god in this world. But who was the ancestor who decided that every immortal had to cast spells and turn the world upside down? The worst part is, we have to work, too. What people don’t know is that every work adapted for film or television creates a complete world sphere in the Cinematic Universe, shaped by the story being filmed. When the story ends, that world continues on according to its own laws. The more television shows and movies people make, the larger the Cinematic Universe grows. Who would have thought that our job as gods would be reviewing works at the State Administration of Radio and Television? Back in the early days of the nation, we had a light workload, and the works were carefully made. We went to work happy every day... As technology advanced and more and more shows and movies were produced, our work grew increasingly complicated. Ordinary humans gradually became our colleagues, some with terrible taste, others swayed by money. Now, what on earth are these shows supposed to be? Some of them are truly unbearable... All right, I’ve said too much. After so many years on the job, I’ve gradually lost some of my ability to empathize. Some worlds are just too tragic, and others too cruel. Everything under heaven has its own cause and effect, and those who interfere often get caught up in it themselves. But since the Cinematic Universe was born in 1888, Lotus Tower is the first story that has made me want so badly to change someone’s life. The person I want to save is Li Xiangyi.
