(Wasteland + mecha + team + action-packed + morally complex protagonist)
Sandstorms sweep across the barren wilderness, where mechanical wreckage litters the ground. Mu Yan flees on the back of a mechanical behemoth.
Near the ruins of a cave, Mu Yan discovers a battered, abandoned mecha with 3% energy remaining.
He climbs into the cockpit but accidentally cuts himself on a wire mesh. His blood unexpectedly activates the mecha and binds him to a System with biological intelligence.
From then on, Mu Yan has a companion called “Tin Can,” who joins him in scavenging.
But why does the System keep assigning him missions?!
Huh, the reward is a glass of rich, fragrant wine brewed in the old world? I'm in!
Guided by the System, Mu Yan returns to a human survivor settlement, explores radiation-scarred ruins, and gathers parts to modify Tin Can.
At first, Mu Yan just wants enough food and warm clothes to make it out of the desert of death.
But when he looks back after restoring order to the wasteland, he finds the soft hand of his beloved in his own, and companions at his side who have fought and grown alongside him.
