Others Rely on Their Looks, but She Wins by Being Unhinged: The Madam Returns to the Capital and Goes on a Rampage

The moment Wang Zifei opened her eyes, the ghost of Jiang Yan, the woman whose body she now inhabited, appeared before her, wailing about her tragic fate and begging Wang Zifei to avenge her. As if Wang Zifei wasn't the one who should be crying! She used to be a policewoman, but now she'd been reduced to dressing up as a ghost to swindle people out of their silver! Then she happened to pick up a handsome guy! Only this handsome guy was nothing but trouble, with enemies everywhere. She had to look after him, even though she was the one who needed a prince to come rescue her!

Just when she thought she was in luck, the original owner's family finally showed up, ready to bring back their long-lost official's daughter so she could live in comfort. Or so it seemed. They actually wanted her to take her younger sister's place and marry an old codger who had already outlived seven wives! The emperor had arranged the marriage, but the groom was a wife-killer. Whether she married him or not, she'd end up dead, so she had no choice but to run. Before leaving, though, she had to find the real culprit behind the death of the original owner's birth mother. To investigate, she returned to her old line of work and disguised herself as a ghost to scare people. The handsome guy, who was obviously loaded, proved a loyal ally: he lent her his capable subordinates and promised to escort her away himself once everything was done. But after she tore apart the Jiang family's lair and avenged the original owner, all she got was news that he had disappeared...
