I’ll Let You Miss Me

[Urban sweet romance, love at first sight, mutual healing and salvation, cold on the outside but warm within, a possessive workaholic & a fun, sweet girl who’s warm on the outside but cool within, a Capricorn’s guide to winning love] The first time Zhou Nian looked into those eyes, he felt the perfect, frigid world of code he had spent more than thirty years building shatter and collapse in an instant. He didn’t believe in love at first sight, but those eyes appeared in his dreams every night. At the time, however, Xu Ke had no memory of him at all. She was with her first love, a man she’d known for ten years. Zhou Nian tried to rein in his surging feelings, fighting the powerful pull she had on him. Until one day, fate played a strange little joke on him. They became coworkers. “Brother Nian,” she said, looking up at him with a sweet smile. Her tone was polite, but her eyes were as bright as ever. He hid away every selfish, dark, narrow-minded impulse within him, but one day he noticed that her middle finger was bare, with only the pale mark left by a ring she had worn for a long time. Xu Ke, don’t cry over him. He’s not worth it. Xu Ke, I’m waiting in line for my number. When you’re ready, call mine first. Xu Ke, you can only be mine. Xu Ke, I love you far more than you can imagine. Xu Ke, how dare you? How dare you push me away? Zhou Nian, you’re the one I choose, without hesitation. Zhou Nian, I miss you so much. Zhou Nian, will you forgive me? Adults use reason to think about love, but they can never resist the heart’s most primal stirrings.
