I Broke This World Again

Infinite Flow / Cthulhu-inspired / mysterious fantasy / mission adventures / eccentric protagonist At the end of the world, an enormous serpent coils endlessly, its head and tail joined. It is both the world itself and its creator: it is fate, and the shackles of reincarnation. “The past is gone. The apocalypse is here.” “Desire rises, and fear descends.” The ancient sage Mould recorded in the Revelations of the Forbidden Book: The gods gave humanity knowledge, while the great serpent gave humanity wisdom. But when humanity gained knowledge, wisdom, and desire, it created fire, as well as deceit, illusion, and corruption. Seated on thrones of lies, people deceived themselves until fear descended and devoured everything. Fear gave birth to ghosts. They whisper from the shadows and awaken in the dark, dragging humanity into a sea of blood and devouring it whole. But in its most desperate hour, humanity kindled a flame. They took up blazing ritual torches, broke the shackles of darkness, and ran toward an unknown future. They chose to forget this place and seek a new home. But can forgetting really help them escape their fear? Have they really escaped the serpent that coils without end?
