The protagonist, Chen Zhi, is a junior employee at a factory. His father has been committed to a psychiatric hospital, and he has just lost his job and returned home. In a math book, he finds a note. Reading it brings back memories of events from fifteen years ago, setting him on the trail of his mysterious origins, his enigmatic bloodline, and a fate he cannot escape. He begins assembling his own team and encounters a secretive organization lurking in the shadows. He ventures deep into ancient gods’ tombs in search of the spirit stones that can save the world, and investigates the truth behind the gods’ downfall. From the Heavenly Fox Tomb and the Underworld of Yellow Springs to Fengdu Ghost City, the Strange God’s Mound, Egypt, and the Ancient Sea Eye, he journeys through one perilous secret realm after another, ultimately uncovering the secrets of the past.
This is a good book. Although there are some logical conflicts, it cannot hide its brilliance.
