[Decisive and ruthless] [Cold-blooded] [Killing increases cultivation + summons shadows to fight] [Multiple female leads, but not much focus on them] [Fast-paced early on] [Pure excitement]
On the Bluecloud Continent, martial arts flourished. Awakened ones and martial artists stood above the rest, and everyone was desperate to become one of them.
Ye Liuyun was an orphan born blind who endured countless hardships growing up. On his eighteenth birthday, he jumped into a river to end his life, but his shadow, Liusu, rescued him. He awakened the S-rank talent King of Light, then became the leader of the Sword Bearers, a special organization in the Hong Kingdom, and a symbol of light and justice.
What nobody knew was that Liusu, Ye Liuyun’s shadow, was actually the leader of the Blade Bearers, the largest evil organization on the Bluecloud Continent, and the embodiment of darkness: the King of Darkness.
After learning that killing enemies allowed them to devour their shadows, grow stronger, and summon those shadows to fight, Ye Liuyun and Liusu set out to uphold justice.
What if finding criminals is too much trouble? Just go straight to the prisons and kill the death-row inmates.
What if all the evil organizations go into hiding? Then build an evil organization and have it swallow the others whole.
What if there are too many unknown creatures? No matter how many there are, I have more shadow soldiers.
From then on, the prisons had no more death-row inmates, the Blade Bearers stood alone as the undisputed ruler of the underworld, and the unknown creatures invading the Bluecloud Continent were wiped out.
With no one left to kill on the streets, Ye Liuyun felt lost. So Liusu took him to the unknown creatures’ lair to uphold justice. From then on, the light shone across every continent.
Unknown creatures: Please stop killing us! We’re a protected species now!
It's okay, but to be honest, it's far behind other high-level martial arts novels. The main reason is that it feels a bit too confusing, and also, although your introduction is very attractive, the whole book just feels bland, and I lose interest in reading it later. Come on!
The protagonist is brave and resourceful, decisive in killing, and revenge never takes overnight. If you offend him today, you will be careful about being assassinated that night. There is a female protagonist in this book, but she basically has no role. It is purely a friendship for profit. There are two male protagonists, one is sinister and the other is cunning. Overall, this book is good and extremely enjoyable.
