I Only Want to Take First Place

A single group photo made Ji Cheng and me famous across the internet.

In the picture, we stood together in blue-and-white school uniforms, flashing victory signs.

Attached was our grade’s exam ranking: Ji Cheng was first, and I was second.

One comment read: “There’s not a hint of romance in their eyes, only the determination to study each other into the ground.”

Ji Cheng had outranked me for ten years. I thought I’d never escape my perennial second-place title.

Until my consciousness awakened…

I discovered I was the villainess in a campus novel.

And Ji Cheng was the male lead.

I wasn’t sad in the slightest when I realized this.

I knew my chance had come!

I was going to be number one!
