A Record of a Mortal's Journey to Immortality: Rise of the City
1. Worldbuilding
Modern cities and the cultivation world coexist. On the surface, there are bustling modern cities, but hidden beneath them are cultivation sects, clans, and unaffiliated cultivators. Cultivators conceal themselves among ordinary people and use modern technology and resources to aid their training, while also facing challenges such as sparse spiritual energy and scarce resources.
Cultivation levels: Qi Refining, Foundation Establishment, Golden Core, Nascent Soul, Deity Transformation, Void Refinement, Body Integration, Mahayana, and Tribulation Transcendence. Each level is divided into early, middle, late, and peak stages.
Distribution of powers:
Cultivation sects: The Qingyun Sect, Heavenly Sword Sect, Xuanyin Cult, and others. With long histories and deep foundations, they occupy famous mountains and rivers and possess abundant cultivation resources and secret manuals.
Cultivation clans: The Lin, Ye, and Xiao families, among others. They have passed down their legacies for millennia, possess special bloodlines, and produce many talented members. They also maintain close ties with the major sects.
Alliance of Unaffiliated Cultivators: Made up of cultivators without a sect or clan, its members are scattered, but numerous and well-informed. It is one source of intelligence and resources.
