Transcending the Self

Saddam lives in a remote part of Skeltan. His childhood is marred by misfortune, and in a miserable hospital he hears nothing but the cries of the suffering. He faces contempt and ridicule from people of every stripe. Alone, he strives to better himself, studying countless philosophies, ideologies, theories, and moral teachings. His thoughts grow tangled and complex. He wants to bring hope to this world, to become its center, but for a mere speck in history, the human spirit must transcend its limits.
