In that special era of scarce supplies and immense pressure on people's lives, having enough to eat and warm clothes to wear was an unattainable dream for most. Everyone struggled beneath the weight of daily life. Yet the wheels of fate turned quietly, and a soul from the twenty-first century unexpectedly transmigrated into a traditional courtyard compound full of everyday warmth, but also rife with contradictions.
