Retreat to the Wilderness

[Lin Ye, warm on the outside and cold within, with an avoidant personality × Song Yicheng, who only pretends to be antisocial but really is sharp-tongued]

[Cool guy × chaotic guy]

Seventeen-year-old Lin Ye juggles school and work while stubbornly chasing a distant dream.

He thought his ideals and reality would never intersect, and that his stubborn pursuit was nothing more than a laughable game.

Until one day, someone shoved his head underwater, then pulled him back up. Choking and suffocation hit him all at once.

That person let go with an air of nonchalance and said solemnly, “Life and death are separated by a hair’s breadth. Reality and ideals may not be so far apart.”

Having just delivered that bit of life wisdom, Song Yicheng stood with his hands in his pockets, calmly facing Lin Ye, whose eyes were red at the corners and whose hand was around his neck. Struggling to force the words out through his flushed face, he said, “Stop choking me. I’ll do your homework.”

[I’ve always had nowhere left to retreat.]

[Love may not fit in a house, however vast, but it can fit in the heart.]
