Moon-Gazing in the Ruins

[An ordinary wage slave VS workplace demons] [Realistic fiction · heart-wrenching · healing · the working life of ordinary people] What’s it like to get your company blacklisted by a platform just days after joining? Shi Ye, a worker who has internalized workplace anxiety to the point that it’s in her DNA, will tell you from personal experience: you feel so guilty you torment yourself day and night, drown your sorrows in alcohol, then mistake a handsome stranger for someone else and sob to him about your life. It’s so mortifying you’ll wish you could dig three floors underground and hide. This isn’t a fairy tale about a prince and princess. It’s a huge, ramshackle operation, and a story about ordinary people trying to keep going and struggling to save themselves amid the ruins of life. [Note: This story is entirely fictional. If anything seems familiar, don’t assume it’s based on you. Read it just for fun, because reality is far more melodramatic and absurd than fiction.]
