After My Younger Half-Sister Stole My Betrothal, I Carried the Plaque Honoring My Loyal Family to Plead My Case to the Emperor

An imperial decree arranged the marriage, but Qin Lanyi, the Chancellor's legitimate daughter, stormed my home with a group of noblewomen.

Because she had set her sights on my younger sister's fiance, she tormented my sister in every way and beat her until she was barely alive.

I beat the grievance drum and rolled across the nail board until I was covered in wounds, yet I still had no way to seek justice.

The prefect suppressed my petition, saying that the Qin family was too powerful for lowly people like us to provoke.

Even Father's most trusted deputy general defected to Chancellor Qin and set a fire to silence my sister and me.

In despair, I carried the plaque inscribed with "A Family of Loyal Heroes" and stopped the imperial carriage, shouting:

"Twenty-eight members of my Yang family served our country with unwavering loyalty and died on the battlefield. Why have we now become people anyone can bully?"
