My younger sister longed for the polygamous life of African tribes, where one woman has several husbands. She said she wanted to marry five men to wait on her.
I warned her that African tribes were backward, the living conditions were awful, and all kinds of diseases posed a threat.
After thinking it over, my sister finally gave up on her ridiculous idea.
But later, she saw a group chat member who had married into an African tribe. One husband earned money, another waited on her, and she was carried around in a sedan chair. She was living happily, never having to lift a finger for clothes or food, and she came to hate me with all her heart.
So, with a crazed look on her face, she poisoned me with paraquat and watched me die in agony.
"It's all your fault, you bitch! If you hadn't stopped me back then, I'd be surrounded by five men right now. I wouldn't have to work overtime every day like a workhorse. You ruined my life!"
When I opened my eyes again, I was back on the day my sister had shouted that she wanted to go to an African tribe.
My mother looked at me, hoping I would talk my sister out of it.
But I wholeheartedly supported her, smiling as I said, "Sis, I support you. I want to go to an African tribe with you too and marry five men to wait on me! Can you take me along when you go?"
