Through some reforms, Bismarck and Moltke enabled Prussia to win the Austro-Prussian War and the Franco-Prussian War. It became a federal state and resisted powerful enemies externally, and finally completed the unification of Germany. Although the German Empire, which only existed for 48 years, came to an end with Germany's defeat in World War I, this increasingly powerful country has always stood among the world's powers.
