In an otherworld where steam and machinery rumble together, the gloom of the Cthulhu Mythos intertwines with the mists of Western occultism. This vast world is pieced together from numerous continents, where human nations stand like brilliant stars, each shining with its own culture and power. Here, the twenty-two "Beyond Pathways" are like hidden threads of fate. Beyonders gain supernatural powers by consuming potions and acting out their roles, climbing the Sequences step by step, all the while teetering on the edge of losing control.
Zhou Mingrui, a scholar once obsessed with Earth's occult studies, was swept up in a strange celestial phenomenon while researching ancient tarot texts. His soul transmigrated into Klein Moretti. A mysterious tarot reading ritual pulled the trigger of fate, and he unexpectedly gained the Beyonder abilities of the Seer pathway, stepping into a perilous yet wondrous world.
To uncover the truth, Klein travels to Backlund and becomes an assistant to a detective. While investigating cases, he encounters Beyonders and their factions, gradually learning the rules of the Beyonder world. Later, under the name "The Fool," he gathers like-minded people in the spirit world and establishes the Tarot Club. Audrey, a noblewoman with a strong sense of justice, hopes to change society through her abilities. Alger, a cunning and resilient former pirate, longs to explore the secrets of the deep sea. Together, they gather at the Tarot Club, sharing information and growing side by side.
