On Our Wedding Day, My Girlfriend Became Another Man’s Wife

Half an hour before the wedding ceremony, my bride still hadn’t arrived.

After dozens of unanswered calls, she sent me a text:

“Hubby, I’m really too nervous. My panic disorder is acting up. Can we postpone the wedding for a few days?”

I agreed, then went out to apologize to every friend and relative who had come.

I kept smiling as I saw off the last guest, only to hear a familiar shout from the banquet hall next door:

“I’m willing to marry you!”

I pushed open the doors and saw the bride who was supposed to be mine, wearing the wedding dress I’d paid for.

With everyone watching, she slipped another man’s wedding ring onto her finger.

I turned and walked away, then called my childhood sweetheart.

“Come marry me right now. Do you dare?”
