With the Lunar New Year approaching, my parents sold or gave away all the holiday supplies I'd stocked up on.
I desperately tried to warn them that an extreme-cold apocalypse was coming, but they mocked me:
“What era are we living in? Who stocks up on New Year supplies anymore?”
“Daughters are just less considerate than sons. You only try to fob us off with useless things.”
“Your younger brother says he's taking us to Hainan for the holiday~”
When the first cold wave hit, supplies ran short,
and my younger brother urged our parents to kick me out so he could have one more bite of meat.
I was shivering in the blizzard when my homebody best friend called.
“Want to spend New Year's at my place? I've got so much food, there's no way we can finish it all!”
Remembering my friend's habit of stockpiling supplies, I happily moved in with her.
I never expected my ungrateful younger brother and parents
to show up at her door right after me.
