The Song of Yanyun Calls Uncle Jiang by Name

(Dual male protagonists)

Setting: The Five Dynasties and Ten Kingdoms period, a time of turmoil. The Later Jin emperor Shi Jingtang ceded the Sixteen Prefectures of Yanyun to the Khitan, leaving the Central Plains without its northern defenses. The people suffered under the Khitan cavalry and the oppression of the nobility.

The martial-arts sects joined forces to form an anti-Liao resistance, while loyal officials at court advocated a northern campaign. But rival factions fought for power, obstructing the recovery of the lost territories.

Lan Qingzhuo was raised by Uncle Jiang, a man devoted to justice, and grew up listening to stories of Yanyun. One day, Uncle Jiang disappeared after leaving him with the words, “Go to the Sixteen Prefectures of Yanyun and find me.” Determined to find him, Lan Qingzhuo set off for Yanyun, stepping into a struggle that would change its fate.
