My cousin was talked into believing by her husband that staying in hotels was better than buying a house.
She came to ask me and my parents for advice. We saw through her husband's little scheme and urged her,
“Buying a house is still better. If you stay in hotels or rent, aren't you just working to pay for someone else's house?”
So she and her husband took out a mortgage on a home for their marriage.
After they moved in, they called us about every little thing at home and even wanted us to give her our family's school-district enrollment slot.
We refused. After that, whenever their lives didn't go quite as they wanted, they blamed us.
Later, her husband had an affair.
My cousin blamed us for advising them to buy a house, saying it had put too much pressure on him and driven him to cheat.
When she came to visit, she drugged us. While we were unconscious, she set the house on fire and burned our whole family alive.
When I opened my eyes again, I was back on the day my cousin had asked us for advice.
