At the beginning, the world was a mass of chaos. A seed sprouted at its center, and as it grew, the chaos split in two, giving rise to yin and yang. The world was reshaped by these two forces. From yin and yang emerged two ancient gods of the Primordial Age: Jinwu, the True God of Supreme Yang, and Zhulong, the True God of Supreme Yin.

The world fell under the curse of the Eternal Tribulation.

Gu Jingshi was a laid-back guest advisor at the Hidden Rain Pavilion. But as time went on, he realized that everyone in this world was a chess piece. Countless people around him fell along the way, and every step forward was accompanied by bloodshed. He swore to find the player moving the pieces behind the scenes and break the curse of the Eternal Tribulation.

Gu Jingshi: “Fate is not decided by Heaven, but by people.”

Gu Qinghan: “Thank you. I'm glad that you were the person I met.”

Ji Yingying: “I wish we hadn't met under these circumstances, but as ordinary people.”
