Stealing a Kiss in the Moonlight: Why Is Straight-Shooting Young Master Lu Blushing?

[Marriage Before Love + Unrequited Love Comes True + Childhood Sweethearts + Reunion After Years Apart + No Getting Back Together] Male lead’s perspective: A long-laid plan, unrequited love finally returned Female lead’s perspective: Her childhood sweetheart returns, marriage before love Just as Shen Lichu finally believes someone could love a lonely person like her, he shatters her illusion with photo after photo of himself carousing late into the night. He says, “Shen Lichu, give me all of you, body and soul, and I’ll deign to give you my love.” He turns love into a transaction, shameless to the extreme. But after they break up, he regrets it. He runs to Shen Lichu without a second thought and begs pathetically, “Chuchu, I was wrong. Don’t be with someone else. Please.” But he can only watch as the girl takes the hand of the man beside her, smiling sweetly. “Sorry, Senior. I’m afraid I have to inform you that you’re out of the running.” Shen Lichu thought this marriage was simply a matter of each getting what they needed. But after they marry... “Mrs. Lu, I need a hug.” “Sweet Chuchu, please give me a kiss.” “My darling wife... please... be gentle with me...” Shen Lichu is swept up in this grand love, though she occasionally wonders if marriage before love between childhood sweethearts always unfolds so naturally. Until, at a gathering, someone asks when exactly Young Master Lu fell in love. Amid the cheers and chatter, Shen Lichu hears Lu Qingye answer earnestly, word by word. “The night someone slashed the tires on my dad’s cars.” There was nothing natural about it... Lu Qingye’s love began on that summer night ten years ago, and it never once stopped.
