My Life as a Warlord in Republican-Era China

After graduating, Ye Haotian and his girlfriend Su Ya spend five years struggling to make it in the Magic City. Ye Haotian changes jobs repeatedly, and they eventually break up because they have different plans for their lives. After getting ripped off while repairing his phone, Ye Haotian decides to walk back to his rented apartment. He faces one hardship after another along the way, from the scorching heat to crowded buses. Back at the apartment, he looks back on the past and decides to return to his hometown. As he says goodbye to his landlord, a thunderstorm breaks out, and in his anger, he is struck by lightning. His story is reported on television, and Su Ya bursts into tears when she sees the news. Our protagonist, Ye Haotian, transmigrates to the Magic City of the Great Hua Republic in September 1937 and begins his resistance-war career.
