A Buddha and a demon live inside my head.
The Buddha says: Let go, and you will find bliss.
The demon says: Death is the only path to rebirth.
The irony is that I, the vessel they’re fighting over, am being shot at by countless crossbows.
And just now, my mother used her body to break the first bolt aimed at me.
So I said, “Brother Annihilation, come out and clear the place.”
The Buddha and the demon stopped fighting. They didn’t want to argue anymore. They wanted to leave. They fell silent.
But silence can’t escape the consequences. Disaster is coming, sooner or later.
I sang the opening verse of destruction: “The Profound Yin bloodline has no kin; with my life, I summon the soul that ends the world.”
He opened his eyes.
As if crushing ants, he ground the Buddha Spirit to dust, then took control of the demonic markings.
Next, the world was due for the same.
Just then, I suddenly heard someone shouting.
“Duan Gen, your mom isn’t dead yet! They can still save her!”
“Duan Gen, what’s the point of saving this world if it’s destroyed? Wake up already!”
I opened my eyes.
Someone said my mom wasn’t dead, and that they could still save her.
I sprang back to life and set out to bring my mom back.
But people were trying to kill me every day.
With no other choice:
“Brother Annihilation, wake up. Brother Annihilation, sleep a little longer. Brother Annihilation, get up and clear the place. Brother Annihilation, go back to sleep.”
He woke, then slept; slept, then woke; woke, then slept, until he finally raised his slaughtering blade against me too.
