The Cultural League of Legends

In Republican-era China, a copy of the Lanting Xu hides a top-secret archive, only to vanish mysteriously in the Great Kanto Earthquake. Three years later, the owner of a cabin entrusts it to cultural spy Wang Zhicheng in a moment of crisis. Wang Zhicheng resolutely leaves Northeast Imperial University and boards the Xijing, while the Eastern enchantress Kawashima Yoshiko makes her move and red agent An Jingyao risks everything to escort him...

After returning to China, Wang Zhicheng uses the Lanting Xu to make his way through famous mountains and rivers, cities and villages. He befriends scholars, artists, and prominent officials, forging a cultural alliance, resisting the cultural crackdown, and building a cultural front. With his pen as his sword, Wang Zhicheng and his comrades write a tragic and heroic story of a wartime cultural intelligence battle.
