A medical rescue team and a group of volunteers arrive in a cave area in southwest China. Among them is actress Qin Yufei. Everyone says she has come to volunteer just to put on a show, but Qin Yufei works hard and even risks her life to save someone in a moment of crisis. As they spend day and night together, medical team leader Jia Baichuan comes to see Qin Yufei’s resilience and kindness, and the two grow closer. Qin Yufei also discovers that the young doctor who saved her life and rekindled her hope during an accident at a dance competition years ago was none other than Jia Baichuan. Their paths had crossed long before. They support each other in life and work hard at their respective careers. Jia Baichuan takes part in another major rescue mission, while Qin Yufei draws on her experience to win back the public’s recognition. Qin Yufei tells Jia Baichuan, “You save lives with your own. You promised me you’d come back safe. I believe everything you say, even when it’s a lie, it sounds sweet.”
