The First Prince of the Great Ming

“Ming Dynasty” + “National Fate” + “golden finger” + “no System” + “not a saint” + “alternate history” + “wuxia” + “history” + “heroine.” Zhu Chongjiu, a disciple of Zhang Sanfeng, suffered a calamity on the very day the Ming Dynasty was founded. Liu Bowen called him “a man so exceptional that Heaven itself is jealous, Li Yuanba reborn.” After he was brought back to the capital, the officials feared and respected him, calling him “His Highness, the Prince of Wu.” Little did they know that he had only three years left to live. To save his beloved disciple, Zhang Sanfeng led the Seven Heroes of Wudang to the Western Regions in search of the last “Heavenly Fragrance Cardamom.” From the start, Zhu Chongjiu recruits Bai Zhantang, the “Saint of Thieves,” and Ji Wuming, the “God of Thieves,” roots out the evil Brightness Cult, and takes command of the Embroidered Uniform Guard. People often say that wherever there is light, there is darkness. The history books record Zhu Yuanzhang as an emperor for the ages, but Zhu Chongjiu is destined to become the uncrowned king of the shadows. They say the current emperor governs with benevolence, loves his country, and cares for his subordinates, yet fears the Prince of Wu like a tiger, because a brute really will kill someone, even in the imperial court. What they don’t know is that the one handing him the knife is their own merciful emperor. Zhu Chongjiu says, “I have never feared the darkness. I hope you won’t fear it either, because moving unseen in embroidered robes at night is the true way to bring blessings to the people of the Ming Dynasty.” “Embroidered robes by night, children silenced with fear. In mighty Ming, no demons dare roam.”
