After I Gave Her a Fake Watch, My Fiancée Was Disowned

At our class reunion, my fiancee bought a limited-edition designer watch. She gave me a fake and gave the real one to her first love. When everyone mocked me, my fiancee not only refused to set the record straight, she joined in and insulted me. “You being poor is one thing, but buying a fake just to save face and bring shame on my family is unacceptable.” “If you liked this watch, you should’ve said so earlier. I’ll buy you an identical one right now and give it to you at our wedding next month.” Everyone laughed at me, calling me a dog who’d married into a rich family. But she seems to have forgotten that she can only inherit her family’s fortune if she marries me. And now, I have no intention of going through with the wedding.
