My Imperial Brother Takes Me by Force

After years apart, they meet again. He is the high and mighty Crown Prince, wielding supreme power, while she is an orphan whose father has died. One fleeting glance at her in the Ziwei Garden of the Lu residence is all it takes for him to fall. He gives her a jade pendant and protects her for half her life. When his Crown Princess scrutinizes and humiliates her, she tries to escape his control. But when he says the arm he injured for her is still aching, her heart trembles. Xie Yuan was born a Crown Prince, the empress's legitimate son. He usually showed his younger brothers and sisters little warmth, yet for some reason, he paid special attention to Xie Tang. Xie Tang was Consort Shu's daughter. Consort Shu had once been the wife of Lu Huai, who later died tragically. At the funeral, Emperor Pingwu, then ruler of Northern Qi, noticed the woman in white weeping and took her as Consort Shu. Xie Tang, the daughter of Consort Shu and Lu Huai, entered the palace with her mother and was given the title of Princess Hanzhang by Emperor Pingwu. Xie Yuan was deeply displeased by his father's actions. Only his foolish father would take a widow for himself. But who could have guessed that Xie Yuan would later do something no different from Emperor Pingwu? Xie Yuan thought the Xie imperial clan must be hardwired that way. He wanted Xie Tang for himself, and Princess Hanzhang was his, Xie Yuan's.
