The Concubine's Rise to Power

[Happy ending + winning her back + everyday life and growing closer]

When Song Yinyin was very young, she made a promise with Sheng Qiyu. He promised he would come back for her when they grew up. But no matter how long she waited, Sheng Qiyu never came. Then one day, news reached the Prime Minister’s residence that Prince Qi was taking a wife. But his bride wasn’t her; it was her elder half-sister, Song Xiaoxiao.

She thought they would never meet again in this lifetime. But after her sister had been married into Prince Qi’s household for three years without conceiving, her father sent her there to bear the prince an heir. She became Prince Qi’s concubine.

She thought her trials were finally over and she could at last spend her days with the man she had longed for. Instead, she never expected that all her future suffering would come from him.

Her mother’s death finally made Song Yinyin give up on him, and she resolved to leave. By chance, she and Sheng Qiyu went through life and death together. After that, Sheng Qiyu’s attitude changed completely, and he doted on her in every way. But she had already given up and wanted nothing more than to leave.

And then… well, then comes the story of someone trying to win her back.

This is a beginner’s work, so some parts may not make sense. Don’t take it too seriously; just enjoy the ride.
