After a Successful Blind Date, My Scumbag Ex Begged Me to Take Him Back

Chen Xun didn’t show up on the day we were supposed to register our marriage. It was as if he’d vanished into thin air, leaving only a message: He was busy with work. Embarrassed, I stepped out of the line of couples waiting to get married and slunk away. But when I turned around, I saw a birthday photo on my social media feed, posted by Chen Xun’s childhood sweetheart. He was right there in the center, standing close to her with his arm around hers. In the comments, she kept calling him “brother,” making their flirtation plain for all to see. I don’t know how many times I looked at that one photo. I joined our mutual friends in liking it, then sent a message to a friend. “Remember that blind date you mentioned? Set it up for me.”
