Let Crown Prince Li Chengqian Ascend the Throne

Li Shimin, Emperor Taizong of Tang, is hailed in history as one of the Four Greatest Emperors of All Time. Yet even during his glorious reign, he faced a succession crisis and failed to smoothly designate a crown prince as his heir. Against this backdrop, the protagonist's soul transmigrates to the early Tang dynasty and possesses Li Chengqian, Emperor Taizong's eldest son, only to discover that he is already trapped in a political dead end.

Facing suspicion and oppression from his father, Li Shimin, open rivalry with his younger brother Li Tai, Prince of Wei, and the looming threat of Prince of Jin, Li Zhi, Li Chengqian decides to stop holding back and vows to change his fate. With unwavering resolve and fearless courage, he challenges the destiny laid out before him: “If I'm willing to risk my life, I can bring even the emperor down!”

Li Chengqian makes it clear that he does not want to repeat history and become a tragic figure like his uncle, Li Jiancheng. Nor will he accept the claim that his physical disability makes him unfit for the throne. He realizes that even if the Zhenguan era is celebrated as the greatest golden age in history, the annals will never judge him fairly if he is not the rightful heir. In this Game of Thrones, Li Chengqian is even prepared for the worst, willing to accept any punishment, so long as he does not have to give up the crown prince's position.
