The Cold CEO Turns Clingy After Marriage

[Attention-Seeking Heartthrob Who Pretends to Behave vs. Cold, Cunning, Wife-Doting CEO]

Rising star Su Wangyao is caught up in a scandal accusing him of breaking up a relationship. He is slapped in public, swarmed by insults, and treated like a pariah.

Just then, his sworn enemy calls him out of the blue: “Marry me, and I'll clear your name. Otherwise, get ready to be pelted with rotten eggs.”

Su Wangyao grits his teeth in fury, but has no other choice and agrees. The two register their marriage that very day and swiftly clear up the rumors.

The Lu Group and Su's agency then release joint statements announcing their marriage. From then on, the whole internet knows Su Wangyao as the wife of the Lu Group's president.

Su Wangyao grumbles to himself, but at least it's only a marriage of convenience. They can divorce when the contract expires.

But just as Su Wangyao starts treating the marriage like it means nothing, Lu Zhongxiao begins acting strangely.

During a livestream variety show, the crew asks everyone to call the most recent person in their contacts. Su Wangyao looks a little awkward, but the call is answered as soon as it rings.

A deep, rich voice like a cello comes through the phone: “Honey, you've been gone for two days. When are you coming home? I miss you so much~ I'll invest in your show. How about moving the filming to our house? That way I can be with you every day~”

The whole internet is in an uproar. Everyone who had speculated that there was trouble in their marriage is proven wrong.

When someone sets Su Wangyao up, Lu Zhongxiao can tear them to shreds. When someone gives Su Wangyao a hard time, Lu Zhongxiao wraps an arm around his waist and tramples them underfoot, all while worrying they might dirty Su Wangyao's shoes. When someone takes a liking to Su Wangyao, Lu Zhongxiao almost throws them into the Gobi Desert, never to return.
