Reborn in 2002: I Just Want an Ordinary Life

What a tragedy when the son of a hero becomes a murderer! In 2024, Lin Lei, a murderer who had been on the run for eight years, was captured in a small county under Su City and sentenced to death. Before the execution, he saw his mother again for the first time in eight years. Her hair had turned completely white. Clutching the photograph of her martyred husband, she was overcome with grief. She lamented that she had failed to raise her son properly, then spat up black blood. She had clearly poisoned herself. Only then did Lin Lei finally come to his senses, but it was too late. When the bullet struck him, Lin Lei thought his life was over. All he could see ahead was darkness. But who could have known that he would return to the day his father died in 2002? Though Lin Lei could not save his father, he could protect his mother, defend his father’s dignity, and live out an ordinary life.
