Inspector of the Nine Provinces

Every person in the book is created with flesh and blood, and their characters have their own characteristics. It is as if this group of people are right in front of you, and even you are part of the book. This is the charm of writing, which is fascinating.

It's wonderful, the characters are delicately drawn, and the content is very novel. It's not a cookie-cutter novel. At present, it is more in line with my taste. I have not finished watching it yet, and I hope there will be no plot collapse in the future.

Yuan's change of movements from "holding the corner of her mother's clothes until her knuckles turned white" to "slowly letting go of her hand" fully describes her psychological struggle! At first, she was reluctant and afraid, so she clenched her tightly; but when she thought about finding her father and sharing the burden with her grandpa, she slowly let go of her hand. This small gesture brought her transformation from "a child who relies on her relatives" to a "decided little adult" to life, and it was particularly immersive.

The most unforgettable detail is "the wind picked up a few strands of Yuan Yuan's hair"! It is obviously a static parting scene, but when the wind blows, her hair is flying in the wind, as if all her unspoken reluctance is floating in the air. There is no direct cry, but the parting sadness is stretched thin and long, which is particularly picturesque.

The description of Emperor Shun's "serious face" but "majestic eyes" is spot on! As a monarch, he has to face the danger of assassination and the hidden danger of demons, but he must not lose his imperial bearing. This contradiction between "dignity" and "majesty" reflects his helplessness and responsibility in troubled times. He is not a flat "giver of orders."

The mother's "empty look" and "shock in the body" are so dramatic! When facing Yuan Yuan's questions, she was empty-headed. When she heard that her daughter wanted to find her father, she was suddenly shocked. Two small movements made her feel pain.

Emperor Shun's "dignity" and not to mention "the demons are rampant and the state capitals are fighting each other" quietly unfold the big background - it is not just a simple palace assassination, but there is a greater demon crisis behind it, which opens up the story pattern at once, and it is not a small conflict.

The details of mother and daughter's separation were so tear-jerking - Yuan clutched the corners of his mother's clothes and his knuckles turned white, and his mother's throat was choked and he only touched her hair. He didn't cry or fuss, but the helplessness of "reluctance but no choice" was vividly written, making it more uncomfortable than a straightforward crying scene.

The plot connection is particularly smooth: from the assassination in the palace, Emperor Shun's court meeting to find out the murderer, to not accepting the order to go to the tribe, to then being forced to follow Yuan, and encountering the cry of killing on the road, each link is connected, and the rhythm is not laggy. As soon as I finish reading one section, I want to know what will happen in the next section.

It's beautiful and very immersive. The foreshadowing is also well arranged. I have read dozens of chapters, and overall the plot is very exciting, with ups and downs of the storyline and a strong sense of immersion. Personal feeling about this book
