A personal indulgence by an author who updates whenever the mood strikes. The heroine is a real bug, and so is the hero, though he can transform into a human. If you’re afraid of bugs, don’t read this. This is the story of the evolution and birth of an insect race as I imagine it.
No System, but the hero does have a cheat. He is the heroine’s most loyal other half, and everything is for the sake of staying alive.
Synopsis:
God created seven angels of virtue, hoping to fill the world with goodness. Satan created seven demons of sin, seeking to bring the world under the sway of evil.
But this story has little to do with demons and angels, or virtue and sin.
This is a story about calamities.
One of the seven great calamities: the insect plague, sixth among them.
She is a black hole that devours everything, the mother of myriad poisons and insects, the insect-plague empress who reigns over all living things: Xiwangmu Yinsi.
Ever since Yinsi learned that other calamities existed, she began striving to devour them and evolve.
The saying “The rich rely on technology, while the poor rely on mutation” applies to Yinsi, too.
Humanity’s defense against calamities comes from the protection offered by technological progress. Medicine, transportation, and people helping one another in society are all vital reasons humans can survive in the face of disaster.
So what does Yinsi, a bug, have?
She can’t invent planes or tanks, or develop electricity or gas. She can’t even make a door. So what does she have?
Evolution!
She will evolve armor that fears no flames. She will evolve the ability to crawl through freezing winds and snow. She will evolve the ability to breathe underwater. She will evolve the ability to resist disease.
No matter what, she will survive.
