Based on the logic of effect, this book constructs and tests the theoretical framework of "knowledge search, learning by doing, and international market adaptability", and reveals the realization mechanism of international market adaptability of Chinese multinational enterprises. Compared with previous research, the value and innovation of this book are mainly reflected in the following aspects: First, the study of the international market adaptability realization mechanism of Chinese multinational enterprises from the interactive perspective of knowledge search and learning by doing explains how Chinese multinational enterprises improve their international market through iterations of knowledge search and learning by doing in the context of dual constraints of resources and systems. Market adaptability has broadened the interpretation boundary of the traditional international business theoretical framework; secondly, based on the research on inter-organizational search and intra-organizational search of Chinese multinational enterprises' resource endowments, the analysis of the motivations and patterns of Chinese multinational enterprises' knowledge search and its role in international market adaptability has supplemented the rationality and local adaptability of Western knowledge search theory to a certain extent. Third, the study on learning by doing in Chinese multinational enterprises explains how Chinese multinational enterprises quickly transform the knowledge acquired through knowledge search and apply it to international market adaptability. Based on the process perspective, it refines the content of learning by doing in three aspects: benchmarking, trial and error, and rapid response, and promotes the learning by doing theory to the international market. The migration and deepening of the business field; fourth, the situational study of resource constraints and institutional complexity explains the differences in knowledge search, learning by doing, and international market adaptability of Chinese multinational enterprises in different situations, quantitatively tests abstract situational factors, and supplements the theoretical bias caused by insufficient consideration of situational factors in the international market expansion of Chinese multinational enterprises.
