Don’t Mess with That Girl, She’ll Really Pull a Knife!

Master Qin is a respected, upright scholar-official, and his wife, Madam Zheng, is known throughout the city as a virtuous woman. The two are deeply devoted to each other and have a son and a daughter. Their daughter is lovely, their son is clever, and theirs was once a happy, harmonious family. Unfortunately, I am the only discordant note in that household. My mother was Master Qin’s first wife, and while she was alive, all she wanted was for me to live in peace. But my mother is dead, and the person who killed her is still alive. I have been sick since childhood. When the illness strikes, the headaches are unbearable. By chance, I discovered that a dead person’s blood is the perfect remedy for my pain. As it happens, this family and I have a score to settle. They are just the right ones to use as medicine and ease my suffering.
