Detective Conan: After Their Memories Were Erased, They All Remembered

[Police Academy Five focus + the good guys win] Jun An, a newcomer to the redemption business, receives his first mission: save the characters in the Conan world whose tragic fates still haunt readers. Because the worldline is so powerful, the System has a rule to protect its task-takers’ mental and physical health: memories are erased once every ten loops, but points and items carry over, and there is no limit to the number of loops. On his first attempt, he joins the police academy as the sixth member of the group, their lovable mood-maker. But he has no courage, no experience, and no useful items, so he fails to infiltrate the Black Organization and can only watch as five become four. On his second attempt, his overly familiar behavior makes them suspicious. Thankfully, they clear up the misunderstanding, but he only manages to save Kenji, and even that is a one-for-one exchange. On his third attempt, he chooses the police academy again. Using what he learned from his last one-for-one rescue, he ends the bomber’s life early, but only saves the two who bask in the sunshine. On his fourth attempt, he focuses on training and stops socializing. He only ever exchanges nods with the others. In the end, he joins the Organization, but is exposed along with Hiromitsu. On his fifth attempt, he skips the police academy and joins the Organization directly, but his poor disguise arouses Gin’s suspicions. The sixth attempt... The seventh... The eighth... The ninth... The tenth. “System, is it time to loop again?” “Host, you can still write a letter to your memory-wiped self.” “Then I’ll write...” The fired-up, upgraded Jun An joins the police academy, vowing to save the four characters he can’t bear to lose and take down the Black Organization. But it turns out the main characters can not only save themselves, they also seem to know him very well. [The blurb doesn’t do it justice. Please read the story.]
