My Husband Ascended After Divorcing Me, and Now He Regrets It

My husband was a disciple of a cultivation sect, with ambitions soaring to the heavens, but he looked down on me, a mortal woman, as unworthy of him.

"A mere mortal dares to be my wife?"

"Our worldly ties are severed. This marriage doesn't count, and you are not my wife!"

So on the day he ascended, the first thing he did was forcibly divorce me in front of everyone.

A year later, he came back, eyes red, and demanded furiously,

"Who is he!"

I looked at him and smiled.

"Oh, the husband I picked up."

His eyes were full of confusion and pain.

"He's a monster. Leave him!"

"If you've realized your mistake, you can still be my wife!"

Seeing how utterly regretful he was, I shook my head firmly.

"No need. I don't want you anymore!"

Later, I heard that a disciple of a cultivation sect had gone mad.

He was searching all over the human world for his wife.
