A Story Gone Wrong

I'm the heroine of this book.

But I love neither the sick, unhinged male lead nor the childhood-friend second male lead.

Instead, I fall for an embalmer who has never appeared in the main story.

One look is all it takes. I'm bewitched.

For his sake, I resolve to break free from the plot's control.

But the unhinged male lead catches me. He dismembers me and personally delivers me to the embalmer so he can prepare my body for burial.

The male lead says that if the embalmer can't recognize me, he'll send him down to keep me company.
