The Cannon Fodder Awakens and Rewrites the Plot: Those Crazy Lovers Are Made for Each Other!

My older sister was imprisoned by a gloomy, possessive CEO.

I dressed as a maid, snuck into the villa, and tried to get her out.

The gate was right in front of us.

But my sister let go of my hand and sobbed loudly. “Little sister, go on without me. I can’t drag you and our brother into this.”

At the top of the stairs, the CEO licked his lips and said ominously, “Anyone who tries to separate us deserves to die.”

Our brother, waiting at the gate to help us escape, was dragged out of the car, and one of his legs was broken.

My eyes were gouged out.

Holding my sister, the CEO sneered. “This is what happens when you try to run.”

My sister cowered, on the verge of tears. “Please, spare them. I’ll do anything you want.”

But the corners of her eyes were flushed with triumph.

The CEO tenderly wiped away her tears. “All right, as long as you behave.”

My brother and I were dumped halfway up the mountain and left to die.

He gripped my hand tightly and murmured, “Why? We could have escaped.”

Though my eyes had been gouged out, I saw everything clearly. “We had to fail.”

Only then could our sister play the selfless hero and sacrifice herself for the greater good.

When I opened my eyes again, I was back on the day I tried to escape with her.
