The Clam Maiden Bears a Child

A little child from our village accidentally fell into the river. When they fished the child out, it had turned into a giant clam.

A naked woman lay inside the shell, and the villagers went mad fighting over her.

It turned out the River God had answered their prayers. As long as they worshipped the clam woman properly, they would be blessed with good fortune.

But one night, my father defiled her in the ancestral hall.

The next day, the clam woman gave birth to a boy.

In the end, my father and the others fought viciously, and he took the clam woman and her child back by force.

But not long after, my father, who spent every day curled up in bed with the clam woman, became covered in moss. Worms were crawling beneath his skin.

And every one of those villagers met a terrible end.
