Age 6
- Lin Yue starts elementary school, curious about everything. Lively by nature, she quickly makes friends with her classmates. Her father, Lin Jianguo, works hard every day and tells her amusing stories from work when he gets home, teaching her how hard life can be and why it matters to work hard. Her mother, Li Mei, takes meticulous care of her, preparing nutritious meals every day and taking her to and from school.
- Lin Yue eagerly takes part in all kinds of school activities. She especially loves art class, and her drawings often earn praise from her teacher. Soon she develops a keen interest in drawing and joins the school art club.
Age 7
- Lin Yue gradually gets used to the rhythm of elementary school. She excels in her studies, especially Chinese, and her compositions are full of childlike wonder and imagination. Her drawing improves too, and when her work is displayed at a school exhibition, she feels immensely proud.
