You Hired Me as a Bodyguard, So Why Are You Trying to Hit on My Best Friend?

[Urban high-martial arts + spiritual qi revival + reborn heroine] My name is Situ Qianxue. I’ve been reborn, back twenty years in the past. Back then, mutated beasts hadn’t surrounded the city, my fiancé Su Fan, the future Heavenly Emperor, was still my bodyguard, and I was no longer the spoiled young lady who knew nothing of the world. Su Fan and I hadn’t gone our separate ways, either. I even awakened an Effort System that can copy the talents of whoever I bind myself to. As long as I work harder than my bound partner, I earn rewards; otherwise, I’m punished. With twenty years of memories from the future, I’m certain I can go farther than my bound partner. My name is Su Fan. I’m an orphan, raised from childhood by five grandpas who taught me martial arts. My dream is to make more money than I could ever spend, then find myself a lovely wife. A middle-aged man took a liking to me and hired me as his daughter’s bodyguard. The young lady was spoiled and willful, but for the sake of the money, I didn’t mind. I even thought she was much sweeter than the customers I met while making deliveries. I just never expected the young lady to change one day. It seemed she had feelings for me. What am I supposed to do? A rich girl falling for a poor guy can’t possibly work out. There’s no way I can afford to support her. Help! I need answers, fast!
