Three Days Into the Cold War, My Girlfriend Broke Down

On the third day of our cold war, my fiancée posted a photo of an engagement ring on her social media, showing it off alongside her young assistant. She was only trying to provoke me and make me apologize first. After a long silence, I commented, “You two look good together.” My fiancée thought I was jealous and looked smug. “What’s with the snide remarks? It’s just a display piece from our company.” “See? I was right. You’re jealous and always imagining things. Hurry up and apologize to my assistant, then explain everything in front of everyone. I’ll marry you after that.” But she didn’t know that I was tired. I no longer planned to marry her.
